Kings Lodge :
The lodge is spread in a sprawling estate of 12 acres in Rancha village, about 8-10 minutes drive from the park gate. It has 10 cottage rooms and 8 stilt cottage rooms with en-suite modern bathroom and large open verandas overlooking Sal forest and grasslands. Kings Lodge is environmentally sensitive, harmonious with the natural features of the site and accentuates natural daylight to all facilities. Local knowledge and art had been incorporated in the development and the lodge has been constructed using local manpower. The lodge has a multi cuisine dining hall, nature library, swimming pool and an in house team of experienced naturalists.

Kanha Earth Lodge :
Kanha Earth Lodge is spread in a forested area of 16 acres adjoining the buffer zone of Kanha in a small tribal hamlet. It is set deep within the jungle, in the Banjar Valley and shares its daily life with many wild inhabitants. The lodge architecture has been inspired by Gond tribal villages situated on the fringes of Kanha. The lodge has been built with high standard towards eco sensitivity, local village cooperation and a great wilderness experience. The lodge has 12 deluxe villas, a multi cuisine dining hall, a lounge and a swimming pool.

Sketch Itinerary
Day 1 : Delhi/Kanha
Catch morning flight to Nagpur/Jabalpur. Arrive and transfer to Kanha Earth Lodge. Orientation on Kanha National Park and a short walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2 : Kanha
Morning and afternoon safari in the National Park to know more about tigers and their natural habitat.

Day 3 : Kanha
Morning and afternoon safari.

Day 4 : Kanha
Morning Jeep Safari. Afternoon guided nature walk along the Banjar river and a visit to Gond Tribal villages.

Day 5 : Kanha/Bandhavgarh
Depart to Bandhavgarh (5 - 6 hours). Enroute visit to Fossil National park. Orientation on the national park. Overnight at Kings Lodge.

Day 6 : Bandhavgarh
Morning and afternoon safari in the national park..

Day 7 : Bandhavgarh
Morning safari and afternoon safari in the national Park.

Day 8 : Bandhavgarh
Morning safari. In the afternoon visit Bandhavgarh Fort, which forms the heart of the Park.

Day 9 : Bandhavgarh
Transfer to nearest rail head/airport for further connection.

About Karan Rana :
Karan Rana is the Naturalist incharge for the Pugdundee Naturalist team spread across Panna, Bandhavgarh & Kanha National Parks. Before Pugdundee Safaris he has worked for over 15 years in Tiger Tops, Nepal. Karan is currently based at Bandhavgarh and in the last 5 years at the Park he has studied and followed tigers closely. He also enjoys cooking, camping and photography.

Tiger land Bandhavgarh and Kanha :
The finest Tiger habitats of its kind in the world, Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the heart of India in the Umaria and Katni districts of Madhya Pradesh. It is in between the Vindhyas and the eastern Satpura ranges of Central India. Bandhavgarh is not only famous for lush green forests with abundant water supply but also for the old Bandhavgarh Fort with its ancient caves and the statue of reclining Lord Vishnu which is a testimony to our rich cultural heritage. Bandhavgarh forest is inhabited by not only Tigers but also a wide variety of other species like Sambar Deer, Wild Boars, Hyena, Jackal, Cheetal and over 200 bird species. Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, India. In the 1930s, Kanha area was divided into two sanctuaries, Hallon and Banjar, of 250 and 300 km each.

Kanha National Park was created on 1 June, 1955. Today it stretches over an area of 1945 sq km and comprises of Sal forest, grasslands and rolling hills. The park is the only home to the rare Hard Ground Barasingha found in its large grasslands. Kanha is also home to Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaurs, Wild Dogs, Deers, Ungulates, Lesser Cats and over 250 bird species.
